Heat_A Stone Billionaire Series Novel Page 11
I don’t want to walk away!
In my attempts to protect myself, I know I’m only going to push him away.
I know that Evan would walk away in the long run anyway.
“Come on,” he tells me gruffly.
He takes me by the hand, I swallow the last of my drink and let him lead me into his bedroom.
“Take your clothes off,” he commands.
Immediately I pull my dress over my head and leave my body exposed.
Evan pushes me down against the bed roughly, and I wonder what I’m in for.
He shuffles through his suitcase, and I recognize the clink of the spreader bar, possibly from his office?
Or maybe it’s the one out of his bedroom?
Who cares!
“You’re wet at the thought of last time, aren’t you?” he asks.
“You’re hard,” I reply.
I lick my lips, it’s easy to see his erect member through his pants.
Evan drops the spreader bar on the bed beside me, and swiftly removes his belt.
He makes me watch him slowly remove every piece of clothing until there’s nothing left.
“What are you going to do to me?” I ask innocently.
Evan doesn’t respond.
Instead, he moves his body over mine and finds my lips.
I’m aware of his hands, as they raise my arms above my head and the familiar tug of a silk rope loops around my wrists.
Careful, and precise, he binds me.
We both know my safe word, but I’ve never had to use it.
Not once.
His lips move from my lips, down my neck, and further, against my torso until he’s between my thighs.
But he doesn’t give me anything, not yet.
Instead, I feel a finger swipe at my clit and watch him grin as he picks up the spreader bar.
This is the kind of torture I look forward to, as the soft leather closes around each ankle the anticipation inside me only grows.
I arch my back, and Evan strokes his penis.
“What’s the rush?” he growls in my ear.
I hear the unmistakable click, and my legs spread of their own accord, for him.
Another click, as he extends the bar entirely, and I suck in a breath.
Suddenly, I feel impatient for his cruel way of making me succumb to whatever he wants.
“Impatient yet?” Evan reads my thoughts.
“Evan,” I whine.
He slides the bar, so my legs bend, and I am splayed out in front of him.
“Gorgeous view,” his voice is husky.
I can feel the cooling breeze of the air conditioner on the bare skin of my pussy.
Evan dives between my legs, his tongue sliding against my clit, before he pulls me closer to his face.
“Oh, my God!” I moan.
The second I make a noise he stops, and I whine again.
“Do you want something?” he asks.
There’s an innocent tone to his voice.
“Ev!” I cry.
He smirks then begins to tease my clit again, before his fingers slowly push up inside me.
When Evan presses gently against my stomach, he hits that little spot, and I cry out in pleasure.
He stops the movement.
“Evan!” I scold him.
When he doesn’t say a word, I know I’m in for it.
Repeatedly, he edges me towards an orgasm, then stops cold as soon as I’m on the precipice.
It’s the kind of exquisite torture that I live for.
“Evan please!” I beg.
That’s what he’s waiting for.
“What do you want exactly?” he plays dumb.
“Evaaaannn!” I scream at him.
“Oh, alright,” Evan gives in.
It’s as though he isn’t desperate for me, but only for a split second, because Evan moves the bar so swiftly he gives himself away.
He holds it so my legs are spread in the air before he embeds his cock so deep I can’t stop the moan that escapes my lips.
“Evan…” I gasp.
The expression on his face is altogether different: a mixture of gratification and pleasure.
He is the one in control, and he knows it.
Evan’s thrusts are rough.
They rock my body and make me scream his name over and over again.
I bite my lip, left to his mercy, as he gives me what I deserve from him.
What do I deserve?
Everything he’s got.
An orgasm overwhelms my body, my eyes roll back inside my head, and my breath comes in short little gasps.
“One,” Evan counts roughly.
The thrust of his beautiful cock makes me whole body pulse with excitement and lust.
“Oh, my God!” I let out a moan.
Evan pushes the spreader bar a little further, and he sinks deeper as I bend for him.
“Evan!” I cry out.
“Say my name again!” he demands in a rough voice.
“Evan!” I repeat instantly.
“Who owns you!” His voice is burly and deep.
I can’t help the response that slips from my lips.
“You do!” I tell him willingly.
His cock pulses inside me; wrapped around him like this I know he’s going to make me cum again.
The second I feel his hot seed spill inside me, my body convulses, and his last rugged thrust fills me so deeply I writhe on his cock.
“Shit!” he groans.
The last of his cum pours inside me, and he’s spent.
I wait, breathe slowly, and try to collect myself.
It’s no use because as he unties me, and releases me from his hold, Evan wraps his arms around me and I curl against him.
I need this: to be wrapped up in his arms like he’s never going to let me go.
“You okay?” he murmurs into my hair.
The only thing I’m capable of is a quick nod.
Evan pushes my hair away from my face, our eyes meet, and I’m lost.
“I’m good,” I answer.
But the truth is I am anything but good, not even fine.
That’s because I know that I love Evan, too.
This is quite possibly the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me in my entire life.
I was not one of those girls who dreamed of a wedding, wanted marriage or even a steady boyfriend.
Men were disposable to me, until now.
Evan is anything but disposable and surprises me in the most amazing ways.

When I wake up, Evan’s arms are still around me, and I know I am falling for him with each passing day.
Carefully, I remove his arms from my body and slip out of bed to rise with the sun.
As the coffee brews, I walk out onto the luxurious patio and watch the sunrise over the ocean.
It’s so much better than dreary London.
It reminds me of California, of home.
The sound of the waves as they crash onto shore makes me a little melancholy for the seaside home Grace, and I grew up in.
“Kind of reminds you of California, doesn’t it?” Isaac’s voice is behind me.
He startles me, and I put my hand over my heart.
“Yeah,” I nod.
“I thought you were from New York?” I ask.
“I’ve been around,” Isaac says carefully.
Then, he hands me a cup of coffee.
“I didn’t know how you take it,” he says.
“Black is fine,” I shrug.
Coffee is coffee, and much needed.
“Why are you awake? I didn’t wake you, did I?” I ask.
“No, just restless,” he says.
We sit on the stairs that lead down to the sand together and sip our coffee in silence.
“So how did you meet Grace?” I question.
“Well, it wasn’t an accident, that’s for sure,” his tone is off.
It’s just odd the way he
said that.
“Oh?” I venture.
“She was the one I needed,” he says crisply.
I’m suddenly terrified for my sister and remain silent.
“You know, with you formerly tied up with I.S.A., it was only prudent to introduce myself. She fell head over heels so easily. It kind of surprised me, considering how difficult I was told you were,” he says calmly.
Frozen in place I don’t say a word, my eyes focused on a crab in the sand.
“Aren’t you going to ask what the fuck I’m talking about?” Isaac asks.
“Do I want to?” I return.
“Probably not, but I’m about to explain that if you tell Grace anything, she just won’t believe you. I’m the innocent husband, she doesn’t even know what you did for your father,” Isaac adds to the conversation.
“Well, since that’s out in the open, what do you want with my sister?” my voice is cold, harsh.
“Nothing,” he shrugs at me.
“She was just a tool to get to you,” Isaac says.
“You used us,” I state.
“No, just her,” he turns to me.
I remain silent and sip my coffee.
My past comes back to haunt me, no matter what I do.
Just more evidence that I need to keep my heart away from Evan.
He won’t forgive my past, even if he says he will, it’s always there in the background like a shadow that looms over me.
Every breath I take is filled with regret and heaviness I can’t explain.
“Your father is always in trouble, you should’ve known that. A smart girl like you should know better than to get involved with things you know nothing about,” Isaac says.
His voice is as calm as anything.
He’s right.
I should’ve known better, would’ve known better if Elizabeth hadn’t threatened me with my father’s death unless I did something to clear his debts.
Of course, Noah had to fuck that up.
“There were all sorts of plans, and your father just had to go off and fuck with us anyway. It’s too bad that Stone got involved because if he hadn’t everything would’ve been just fine for your father. Just fine,” he concludes.
“I know that,” I steam back at Isaac.
“Don’t get snippy with me Vic, I’m the last person you want to get snippy with,” he snaps at me.
My back goes rigid.
“What do you want?” I ask finally.
“Just wait,” he says.
“Wait and see, I’ll tell you what I want when I need it. If you want to protect your family, you’ll do whatever I ask,” Isaac’s voice menaces.
Then, just like that, his tone changes.
“So, what are we up to today?” he asks lightly.
“You guys are up early,” Evan’s voice is behind me.
I look up at him, press my lips together and accept his light kiss.
Evan balances his cup of coffee as he takes a seat beside me on the stairs and I do my best to relax my body and my features before he notices anything out of place.
“We were just about to figure out what we should do today,” Isaac says.
His voice is lighthearted and carefree, as if he didn’t just doom me.
“Honestly, I’m exhausted, maybe we can just sit by the pool all day?” Evan says.
Then, he turns to me.
There’s no mistaking the intense look on his face.
Evan knows something is wrong.

Evan
December 29, 2017
It’s written all over Vic’s face that something has apparently got her upset, and there’s an almost imperceptible tilt of her head that gives me the notion I should not say anything in front of Isaac.
She’s probably upset with me.
I’m not entirely sure what I did, but she’s visibly upset.
“I’m open to anything,” Isaac says.
“Good,” I nod in agreement.
Vic is cold towards me as we get ready to go to the pool.
She moves a lounge chair into the sun, away from me, and pulls out her suntan lotion.
“Here,” I offer.
“Thanks,” she replies.
Her voice is icy.
“Did I do something?” I ask stupidly.
“What?” she asks.
Vic looks up at me through a dark pair of Versace sunglasses, and I can’t read the expression on her face.
Her lips are pursed.
“No, you didn’t do anything,” she shrugs at me.
“Tell me why I think that, then,” I tell her.
“I’m just a little hungover, too much champagne yesterday. You know champagne gets to my head,” she says, trying to make a lame excuse.
“Okay,” my tone is sarcastic.
“Stop it,” she chides me.
“Stop what?” I reply childishly.
“Whatever it is you’re doing,” she replies.
She doesn’t have a real answer.
I don’t say anything.
Instead, I smooth the lotion over her back and work it into the toned muscles there, around the string of her tiny bikini, and down around the band of her bikini bottoms.
I plant a kiss between her shoulders before I massage the lotion in there.
“Thank you,” Vic whispers.
“You’re welcome,” I press my lips against her ear.
I hear a content sigh of relief escape her lips, and move one of the chairs next to her.
Vic stretches out in the sun, her body contorts into a seductive pose for a moment before she puts her hands behind her head.
I can see the slight shake.
Something is very wrong.
However, I don’t want to say anything in front of Isaac or Grace, I want to keep them out of our own personal business.
But, Grace and Isaac do not move from the daybed for most of the day.
It isn’t until we decide to grab lunch that I get a moment alone with Vic.
“What’s wrong?” I ask intently.
“What do you mean?” Vic plays stupid with me.
“I can tell, I know you well enough to know that something is definitely up with you, so spill,” my voice is firm.
Vic removes her sunglasses, and I can see her eyes start to water.
“There’s something wrong with Isaac, Evan. I know it, deep down in my gut, there’s something off about him,” she says.
I knew it.
“Did he say anything to you?” I prod.
Vic nods.
“What did he say?” I ask with trepidation.
“He mentioned I.S.A.,” she replies quietly.
Fuck.
As if the past hasn’t come back to haunt her enough.
Between her father and her attempts to manage his debts, some other ugly thing has slunk from into the background to come back to her.
“I’ll call Lucius,” I reply quietly.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,” my voice is steady.
I don’t feel steady, however.
“You don’t have to do that,” Vic says.
I’m sure she’s saying it out of obligation.
“I do,” I insist.
“You don’t! Leave Lucius out of this, I can handle it!” she pleads with me.
I just shake my head at her.
“No, Vic, you can’t. And even if you could, I’m not about to let you. I don’t want you to throw away our relationship, because your sister’s new husband is scum,” I admit.
Vic only stares at me.
“I’m here for you,” I tell her.
“I’m here for you, and I’m not about to let you handle this alone. Not when I have someone like Lucius at my disposal. I’m sure whatever it is, he’ll be happy to help. Besides, the jet is coming to Hawaii to pick us up anyway, I’ll just have him jump on and come down here,” I explain.
She doesn’t respond for a long moment.
“Thank you,” Vic says
finally.
“Evan, this means a lot to me, but you don’t have to do it,” she says.
Still, she resists.
“I do,” I shake my head.
Then I kiss her slowly to melt away her worry and fear.
Vic kisses me back, wraps her arms around my neck, and pulls me in closer.
There’s a certain desperation behind this kiss that makes me crave more, I want to show her that I’m in control and I will protect her.
No matter what.
It’s mesmerizing and scary, what this woman does to me.
I’ve never felt this way, about anyone, before, and I’m sure that I won’t find anyone else I’ll handle this way about ever again.
She’s a part of me now.
I wouldn’t sic Lucius on Isaac for just anyone.
He’ll find out the truth.
He must.
Lunch is a tense affair.
Grace can sense something is wrong but is too polite to ask, and Isaac makes idle rich boy chit-chat that makes me want to punch him in the face.
Vic just shakes her head the whole time at me, as though she can see right through me, and knows that violence is usually my answer.
Hell, I beat the shit out of Corban when he betrayed my sister and he’s like a brother to me.
I’m ready to exact the same revenge on Isaac.
“So, we thought that when we get back to the city, it would be nice if we got the whole family together,” Isaac says.
Right, the whole family.
The last thing the girls need in their life is their low-life father.
“I’m not so sure that’s a good idea,” I reply.
“I agree,” Vic says suddenly.
“What?” Grace gasps at her sister.
“You’re always ready to defend dad, what suddenly changed?” Grace questions.
“I just don’t think it’s a good idea. Besides, you got married without an explanation to dad that you were even engaged. I don’t think he’ll appreciate that,” Vic says.
“I asked your dad for permission,” Isaac pipes up.
The color drains from Vic’s face.
We both know what that means: whatever Isaac wants it has to do with their father and has nothing to do with Vic.
I massage her shoulder gently.
“Well, then I guess there’s no choice,” I venture.
“There’s always a choice,” Vic says.
“Dad has proven time and time again that he’s not reliable,” Vic’s sentence isn’t meant for their father.
